THE ROAST BEEF OF OLD-ENGLAND.
When might roast beef was the Englishman's food,
It enobled our veins, and enliven'd our blood,
Our soldiers were brave, and our courtiers were good.
When good Queen Elizabeth sat on the throne,
Ere [ ] and tea, and such slops were known,
The world was in terror if ere she did frown.
